Dallas Cowboys 12/30/2006 9:23 AMThe Star-Telegram reports HC Bill Parcells said RB Julius Jones' carries have been purposely reduced over the past five or six weeks because he wanted to keep him fresh. After getting 17 or more carries in eight of the first 10 games this season, Jones has had no more than 13 in each of the last five games, including three games with no more than 11. Jones has 257 carries for 1,063 yards this season. "I do not think he is a 350-carries-a-year guy," Parcells said. "I think he is in the range where I want him to be. The team wants to make sure that if they make a change they can hire a coach whose philosophy would work with the current players.Read more
