Johnson closer to staying

The Charlotte Observer reports WR Keyshawn Johnson said Monday he'll return to the Carolina Panthers if Dan Henning remains offensive coordinator. When told the team hasn't made any moves with Henning, Johnson replied, "If that's the case, then I'm back." After the regular-season finale, Johnson said he would not return if Henning was out. He also said he might consider retiring even if Henning stayed. Read more

Dunn back next season, GM says

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports RB Warrick Dunn will return next season, according to Falcons president and general manager Rich McKay. Dunn is scheduled to make $3.25 million next season. However, McKay said he could have a reduced role in the offense but that would be new HC Bobby Petrino's decision. McKay said the Falcons would like to keep restricted free-agent QB Matt Schuab, but he realizes there will be interest in the quarterback. McKay also said that Petrino could incorporate some of the team's zone blocking scheme, but he will also use some more traditional run blocking and pass protection schemes. Read more

Dolphins' Thomas, Taylor All-Pros

The Palm Beach Post reports Dolphins LB Zach Thomas and DE Jason Taylor both were named Monday to The Associated Press NFL All-Pro team. Taylor led the NFL with nine forced fumbles and finished fourth with 13.5 sacks. He was named AFC defensive player of the year last week and will start for the AFC in next month's Pro Bowl. Reagor provides lift

The Indianapolis Star reports DT Montae Reagor's presence on the sidelines gave the Colts a lift against Kansas City, and he hopes to be there again at Baltimore. "If the doctors give him clearance to go," HC Tony Dungy said. "I know he wants to go, and I think that's the plan right now." Reagor was a starting defensive tackle until he suffered season-ending head injuries during an Oct. 22 auto accident. The Kansas City game was his first on the sideline since the accident. Read more
