Geathers, the Bengals' first double-digit sack artist in 14 years, reached agreement with the club on a six-year contract worth as much as $33.7 million if he reaches all his incentives. William L. Johnson, Geathers' Atlanta-based agent, finalized the deal with Troy Blackburn, the Bengals director of business development, on Wednesday. Geathers is due to earn $14 million in salary ($1.5 million) and bonuses ($12.5 million) in 2007. His contract rivals the five-year, $30 million extension Robert Mathis signed with the Indianapolis Colts on June 19.Read more

The junior, a two-time All-American, had 70 catches for 1,015 yards and led the Trojans with 12 touchdowns this season. Oakland Raiders 01/10/2007 9:21 AMThe Contra Costa Times reports Raiders managing general partner Al Davis interviewed Marc Trestman on Tuesday for the offensive coordinator spot, a person familiar with the process confirmed. This came one day after Davis interviewed Southern Cal assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach Steve Sarkisian for the coaching vacancy. Coach Art Shell got fired last Thursday. The Raiders did not issue any details about Trestman's interview. Trestman could not be reached for comment.Read more
