Reid's son charged in road rage incident

AP reports the 21-year-old son of Philadelphia Eagles HC Andy Reid was charged Tuesday with drug and weapons offenses stemming from an incident in which he is accused of pointing a gun at another motorist. Britt Reid was scheduled to be arraigned on nine counts including making terroristic threats, possession of a controlled substance and a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license, prosecutors said. Reid got into an argument with another motorist Jan. 30, pointing a handgun at the man before driving off. The other driver managed to get the license plate number of Reid's black SUV and police traced it back to Reid's parents. Read more

Bills re-sign safety Wire

NFL.com wire reports the Buffalo Bills have re-signed special teams player DB Coy Wire to a multi-year deal. Wire, Buffalo's third-round pick in 2002, has been a fixture on the Bills special teams, and finished fourth on the team with 17 special teams tackles in 2006. Read more

Steelers aide Perry joins Raiders staff

The Contra Costa Times reports new Raiders HC Lane Kiffin moved closer to completing his coaching staff by hiring Darren Perry as his defensive backs coach Monday, the team confirmed in a news release. Perry, 38, spent the past three seasons in a similar capacity with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an assistant defensive backs coach with the Steelers in 2003 and the safeties coach for the Cincinnati Bengals in '02. His playing career spanned 1992-2000. He replaced Chuck Pagano, who left the Raiders in January for the defensive coordinator vacancy at the University of North Carolina. Read more

Taylor named to Pro Bowl
