Steelers aide Perry joins Raiders staff
Oakland Raiders02/06/2007 1:19 PM The Contra Costa Times reports new Raiders HC Lane Kiffin moved closer to completing his coaching staff by hiring Darren Perry as his defensive backs coach Monday, the team confirmed in a news release. Perry, 38, spent the past three seasons in a similar capacity with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an assistant defensive backs coach with the Steelers in 2003 and the safeties coach for the Cincinnati Bengals in '02. His playing career spanned 1992-2000. He replaced Chuck Pagano, who left the Raiders in January for the defensive coordinator vacancy at the University of North Carolina. Read more
