Beverly said he felt he could still play physically and still loved the game, but his passion to play wasn't 100%. He said he had been contemplating retirement since the end of last season. "My big struggle was, I started here, I enjoyed it here and I saw something growing here, and I wanted to be a part of it," Beverly said. "But also ... if I couldn't give 100%, I didn't want to cheat myself or the organization." "It caught me off-guard," HC Rod Marinelli said Saturday. "But I respect it. He came into my office. The same fan base that booed Ginn's selection with the No. 9 pick in April, cheered Ginn early during his first training camp with the Dolphins. Ginn finalized a five-year contract with Miami on Friday. The next morning, he made a twisting, one-handed stab of an overthrown pass and barely broke stride on the highlight play of the first of two practices Saturday.Read more
