Denver Broncos 03/01/2008 10:08 AMThe Denver Post reports the Broncos agreed to a two-year contract with free-agent TE Nate Jackson on Friday. The deal is worth about $2 million with some escalators. Jackson finished last season on injured reserve. The Broncos re-signed DE John Engelberger on Thursday. The team's remaining free agents are K Jason Elam, DE Ebenezer Ekuban, S Nick Ferguson and FB Cecil Sapp. Elam and Ekuban are the team's top targets. Arizona Cardinals 03/01/2008 9:53 AMThe Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals apparently are on the verge of losing LB Calvin Pace as a free agent to the Miami Dolphins. The team also seems all but out of the race for Steelers free-agent OL Alan Faneca, a seven-time Pro Bowl player who tentatively has agreed on a four-year deal worth $32 million with the New York Jets. Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves was not available for comment late Friday when the signings appeared close to becoming imminent, although neither deal is expected to be finalized until sometime this weekend.Read more
