Buffalo Bills 03/01/2008 4:56 PMAP reports the Buffalo Bills acquired three-time Pro Bowl DT Marcus Stroud in a trade with Jacksonville. The deal was announced by the Bills at a press conference on Saturday. It was not immediately clear what the Bills gave up in exchange for Stroud, a seven-year veteran who had the Jaguars' permission to seek a trade. The move was completed after the Bills began revamping their porous defense on Friday, the first day of NFL free agency. Buffalo signed LB Kawika Mitchell and released veteran DT Larry Tripplett. Houston Texans 03/01/2008 4:25 PMThe Houston Chronicle reports the Texans have agreed to a contract with Dallas Cowboys CB Jacques Reeves, who was an unrestricted free agent. Reeves, who started 13 games in four seasons with the Cowboys, visited with the Texans on Friday and attended the Rockets' victory over Memphis with general manager Rick Smith. Carolina Panthers 03/01/2008 4:20 PMThe Charlotte Observer reports the Carolina Panthers have reached a contract agreement with Cleveland Browns free agent CB Ricardo Colclough. Colclough (5-11, 195 pounds) received a two-year, $4 million deal. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2004 draft (38th overall selection) out of NCAA Division II school Tusculum. His pre-draft stock rose steadily after he was named the defensive MVP in the Senior Bowl.Read more
