No, not because they resembled the great Broncos trio from the late '80s and early '90s.It's because there really were only three of them: Greg Little, Josh Gordon and Jordan Norwood. The other three on the active roster were sidelined, with two not even outside. Mohamed Massaquoi, recovering from a pulled hamstring, was the only one present, and he watched with a ball cap on.
