Miami Dolphins 11/14/2008 12:03 PMThe Palm Beach Post reports S Yeremiah Bell is on pace to lead the team in tackles. If the Dolphins make the playoffs, Bell’s pass break-up on the Seahawks’ 2-point conversion will go down as one of the biggest plays of the season. With 71 tackles, three forced fumbles and seven passes defensed, Bell could be headed to Honolulu. “He’s literally having a Pro Bowl season,” agent Drew Rosenhaus said. “I’m not just saying it because he’s my client. When’s the last time you saw a safety make so many plays?” But Bell’s history of injury, including a ruptured Achilles that ended last season, seems to be hard to ignore as the Dolphins consider inking Bell to new deal. A reporter called Johnson's cell phone to ask about Johnson's repeated demands that the Cincinnati Bengals trade him. Although he had spent the week telling anybody and everybody that he wanted out of Cincinnati, Johnson unleashed a string of obscenities on the reporter, hung up, murmured a few more curse words, and walked out onto the ESPN set, where he again talked about his unhappiness. You think Lito Sheppard was upset in the off-season after the Eagles signed Asante Samuel to a monster contract? Sheppard had nothing on Ocho Cinco.Read more

Stung and personally insulted by running back Jamal Lewis' claim that some unnamed Browns quit in the fourth quarter of last week's loss to Denver, Cleveland's embattled coach disputed Lewis' belief, defended his leadership skills and said he's certain his team has not yet given up on him or a season spiraling away. "When you say that the team quit, that's saying that I quit," Crennel said. "I know that I'm not a quitter and my players don't quit."Read more
