The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports for the first time since injuring his shoulder Sept. 28 against Tampa Bay, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a full participant in practice. Not only did he take part in the normal 11-on-11 drills, he participated in the individual drills during the walk-through portion of practice and was allowed to throw as needed. In one drill, the quarterbacks rolled out and threw 20-yard passes into a net with targets on it. Read more

Orton looks ready to go vs. Packers

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the Bears might wait until 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday to make it official, but quarterback Kyle Orton showed what he needed to while running the first-team offense in practice Thursday to get the start at Green Bay. Orton jogged off the field on his taped-up right ankle, proof that even if he was limited in the workout, he felt just fine. ''He's a lot better today than he was [Wednesday],'' coach Lovie Smith said. ''If he continues to make the same type of progress, hopefully we'll have him available.''. Read more

It's looking less likely Bush will play

The Times-Picayune reports Saints tailback Reggie Bush did not practice Thursday, leaving his status for Sunday's game at Kansas City in serious doubt. Both he and Coach Sean Payton, though, said they remain optimistic that he might be able to play if he has a good practice today. Bush said he didn't feel any ill effects after he practiced on a limited basis Wednesday for the first time since he had surgery to repair torn meniscus in his left knee on Oct. 20, but the team held him back as a precaution. Ex-Falcon Jennings finds home with Lions

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports former Falcons punt returner Adam Jennings didn’t stay unemployed long. He was cut by the Falcons on Tuesday and claimed off waivers by Detroit on Wednesday. The Lions waived quarterback Drew Henson to make room for Jennings. Jennings was the Falcons top punt returner for most of the past two seasons. Read more
