Kansas City Chiefs 12/29/2008 8:44 AMThe Kansas City Star reports with a most disappointing season finally over, RB Larry Johnson couldn’t contain himself any longer. Johnson said after the Chiefs’ 16-6 season-ending loss to Cincinnati on Sunday what had been obvious for some time: He wants out of Kansas City. “Hopefully, my future is not with this organization,” Johnson said after rushing 10 times for 18 yards. “The things that have been going around, I’m not saying it’s (all) their fault. Half of it is mine with off-the-field (stuff) and other things that go on. “On the football field, my role definitely diminished once I got back. I felt like I wasn’t getting as much (work) as I thought I could and helped as much as I could. They shifted their powers to other players on this team offensively. You kind of feel your time is up in this city and with this team.”Read more
Baltimore Ravens 12/29/2008 8:40 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports the college football season is winding down with only a few bowl games remaining on the schedule and that means our NFL draft coverage is set to begin. Cleveland Browns 12/24/2008 1:37 PMESPN’s James Walker reports Cleveland Browns backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski likely will start Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday. "Probably it's a decent chance, because it's very questionable that Ken [Dorsey] will make it," Crennel said. "[Gradkowski] is from Pittsburgh so he's familiar with the area ... I think he's really excited about starting again in the NFL and seeing what he can do." Dorsey, last week's starter, was knocked out of Cleveland's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a concussion. Gradkowski would be the fourth quarterback to start for the Browns this season.Read more
