Tillman uncertain for Sunday's game

The Chicago Sun-Times reports CB Charles Tillman's status for Sunday night's regular-season finale against the Green Bay Packers remains uncertain because of back spasms, which means the Bears' secondary remains a primary concern as they prepare for the postseason. There's a good chance Tillman will miss the game at Soldier Field since the Bears have secured home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. If that's the case, the Bears will have played five straight games without their best four available defensive backs on the field, which could make it difficult for that unit to peak in the playoffs. Carter, Nance await first chance Sunday

The Pioneer Press reports WR Jason Carter and WR Martin Nance longed to prove to all the NFL teams that passing them up in April's draft was a mistake. But although the two rookie receivers have been Vikings the entire season, Carter and Nance haven't been able to state their cases when it matters most: game days. Williams: I'll return if Lions loosen up

The Detroit Free Press reports WR Mike Williams said he thinks he will be back with the Lions next year. But he isn't sure, and if he does return, he wants a lot of things to change -- starting with his weight target. "If they do want me back, hopefully, we can come to a fair weight for me to play at," Williams said Friday. Williams has lost a lot of money and playing time because of his weight and other problems since the Lions drafted him 10th overall in 2005. The Lions wanted him at 230 pounds last year. They wanted him at 220 this year. Read more
