Minnesota Vikings 01/05/2007 8:07 AMThe Pioneer Press reports Vikings WR Travis Taylor has a Jan. 23 pre-trial hearing at the Hennepin County Government Center on charges stemming from his arrest early Monday outside a downtown Minneapolis nightclub. Taylor, 27, made his first court appearance Wednesday and was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault and one of obstructing the legal process, both gross misdemeanors, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. Houston Texans 01/05/2007 8:05 AMThe Houston Chronicle reports Mike Sherman's quest to become a head coach in the NFL again began Thursday. Sherman, currently the Texans' assistant head coach/offense, interviewed with the Arizona Cardinals. "I've been on a number of interviews at different times in my career," Sherman said at a news conference after his interview in Tempe, Ariz. "This is probably the most in-depth, organized one that I think I've been on." The Cardinals, who fired HC Dennis Green on Monday, are well into their coaching search.Read more
