Indianapolis Colts 01/10/2007 8:19 AMThe Indianapolis Star reports Tuesday was a rare day for S Bob Sanders. It marked the first time since September the veteran safety was able to participate in the first practice of a week after playing in a game the previous weekend. Sanders underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in September. He played in only two of the final 14 regular-season games and practiced sparingly. Sanders handled consecutive practices last week, then had three tackles and an interception against the Chiefs. "The plan is to go in and continue to practice,'' he said. "(I'll) just listen to my knee. If it starts to bother me a little bit, maybe take a day off here and there. "But I'm going to try to go as much as I can and continue to get reps and try to get better.''Read more
Baltimore Ravens 01/10/2007 8:11 AMThe Baltimore Sun reports left OT Jonathan Ogden practiced yesterday for the first time since spraining the big toe on his left foot more than three weeks ago and said he would be ready to play against the Colts. "I don't feel 100 percent right now, but I feel a lot better than I did," said Ogden, who was listed by the Ravens as questionable. "Progress is still going pretty good. I probably won't be 100 percent, but I'll be ready to go Saturday."Read more
Detroit Lions 01/10/2007 8:04 AMThe Detroit Free Press reports Lions HC Rod Marinelli is out of the hospital after having a hip replaced. "It went very well," team spokesman Bill Keenist said Tuesday. "He's home recuperating right now." Marinelli had his left hip replaced Friday after having his right hip replaced in the past. He walked with a noticeable limp this season. He said he had a degenerative condition.Read more
