Indianapolis Colts 01/11/2007 8:10 AMThe Indianapolis Star reports rookie RB Joseph Addai missed at least a portion of 11-on-11 drills for the second successive day Wednesday but is expected to play at Baltimore, HC Tony Dungy said. Addai got his first start Saturday and rushed 25 times for 122 yards and a touchdown against Kansas City. He participated in the morning walk-through and is listed as "questionable" on the injury report with a chest injury. Dungy was vague about the nature of the problem. "I don't know exactly what it is -- sore. He got hit and it has been sore over the weekend," Dungy said. "My sense is he's going to be fine by Saturday."Read more
Atlanta Falcons 01/11/2007 8:07 AMThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports three days after hiring Bobby Petrino as head coach to usher in a new chapter in franchise history, Falcons owner Arthur Blank said in a radio interview Wednesday that the team will increase ticket prices to pull more in line with the NFL average. The Falcons confirmed there will be a price increase but did not say when it would take effect or how much the increase would be. Blank was unavailable for further comment and referred questions to Reggie Roberts, vice president of football communications. Precise information about the increase, actual ticket pricing and the timing of the changes would be detailed over the next few days, Roberts said. The Falcons increased prices this season before finishing 7-9, out of the playoffs for a second consecutive season. All games were sold out this season, and there is a waiting list for season tickets to future games.Read more
Miami Dolphins 01/11/2007 8:05 AMThe Palm Beach Post reports the Dolphins planned to meet with three more job candidates Wednesday, bringing to a full dozen the number of coaches interviewed to replace Nick Saban. The newest prospects for the Dolphins - who are believed to be almost done with the first round of recruiting - are New York Giants defensive coordinator Tim Lewis and New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. The Dolphins were scheduled to meet with the two in the New York area, and in Detroit with Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz, a source said. The team plans to narrow the field to five for a round of intense interviews and then settle on two finalists, the source said. The most glamorous candidate, USC coach Pete Carroll, went to great pains Tuesday to express his desire to stay at USC, regardless of what the Dolphins offer.Read more
Green Bay Packers 01/11/2007 8:01 AMThe Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports as HC Mike McCarthy continues his search for a new offensive coordinator, the most logical choice should he go outside the Green Bay Packers' organization, remains Paul Hackett, his mentor in the West Coast offense. Hackett, who hired McCarthy at the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 and took him along to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1993, just finished the last year of his contract as quarterbacks coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is apparently seeking to be a coordinator again.Read more
