Eagles importing Aussie punter

The Trenton Times reports the Eagles confirmed yesterday that personnel help could be arriving from the other side of the globe shortly. They have reached a contract agreement with legendary Australian Rules football player Saverio Rocca, who will try out for punter next season and probably will join the team in time for their offseason minicamps. Third assistant exits Cowboys

The Star-Telegram reports on the first day his contract expired with the Cowboys, special teams coach Bruce DeHaven found himself a wanted man. It didn't take him long to find the job he wanted. DeHaven signed a three-year contract to coach the special teams in Seattle. He interviewed with Seahawks HC Mike Holmgren on Thursday before he returned late that evening. Bucs add Casullo to staff

The Tampa Tribune reports the Bucs put the finishing touches on their 2007 coaching staff Friday when they officially named former Seahawks special teams coach Bob Casullo as their new tight ends coach. Casullo replaces Ron Middleton, who cited personal reasons for leaving the Bucs and taking a job with Nick Saban at the University of Alabama, and is no stranger to Tampa Bay HC Jon Gruden. Cutting Vick would cost Falcons plenty

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports if the Falcons decided to cut or trade QB Michael Vick, they would take prohibitive hits on the salary cap through 2013. Vick signed a 10-year, $130-million contract on Dec. 23, 2004. The contract calls for $78 million in base salaries, with the rest being paid out in a signing bonus and various roster and guarantee bonuses.
