Light was selected for the first time in his six NFL seasons. Miami Dolphins 02/07/2007 1:05 PMThe Palm Beach Post reports the Miami Dolphins signed seven free agents Tuesday, including three who were either with the team in camp or on its practice squad this past season. TE Jason Rader and WR P.K. Sam, who were practice-squad players, were among the signees, as was DT Steve Fifita, who was with Miami for training camp. QB Gibran Hamdan, linebackers Bobby Iwuchukwu and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and K Matt Prater also were signed. Fifita and Sam will be allocated to NFL Europa this spring.Read more
Washington Redskins 02/07/2007 12:59 PMThe Washington Post reports right OT Jon Jansen signed a five-year, $23 million contract extension with the Washington Redskins yesterday that will keep the team's longest-tenured player in uniform through the 2011 season. The deal includes a $10 million signing bonus. Jansen earned $4 million this past season, his eighth with the Redskins.Read more

So a Chicago snowstorm, which caused multiple plane delays and a two-hour wait on the tarmac at the airport, was not going to dampen his enthusiasm. Or his sense of humor.
