Lions willing to part with Bly

The Detroit Free Press reports Lions president Matt Millen and HC Rod Marinelli have given CB Dre' Bly permission to seek a trade. "I have a tremendous amount of respect for Matt and Rod allowing me the opportunity to find a home for Dre' Bly that is more conducive to his Pro Bowl skill set," Bly's agent, Kennard McGuire, said Tuesday. The Contra Costa Times reports new HC Lane Kiffin moved closer to completing the overhaul of his coaching staff by hiring Brian Schneider and Curtis Fuller to oversee special teams, the Raiders announced in a press release. Read more

Titans' WR coach takes Cowboys job

The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans HC Jeff Fisher is in the market for a receivers coach. Fisher said Tuesday night that Ray Sherman had informed him that he was joining Wade Phillips' new staff with the Dallas Cowboys. Sherman is expected to coach wide receivers there, but it was not immediately clear if he would hold an additional title. Read more

Browns eyeing Steinbach

The Akron Beacon-Journal reports it's no secret that the Browns would like to sign free agent OG Eric Steinbach, the outstanding guard from the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns want him as a guard to replace free agent OG Cosey Coleman. They also have major questions about veteran OG Joe Andruzzi, who is having physical problems. Finding guards is one of the key quests for the offseason. Read more
