Philadelphia Eagles 02/17/2007 9:42 AMAP reports a second son of Eagles HC Andy Reid was charged with drug violations yesterday, just days after the coach took a leave of absence to deal with family matters. Garrett Reid, 23, of Villanova, was charged with 14 misdemeanor offenses stemming from a high- speed traffic accident in suburban Philadelphia on Jan. 30, including assault, drug possession and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.Read more
New York Giants 02/17/2007 9:40 AMThe Star-Ledger reports Sean Ryan has been hired as the Giants new offensive quality control coach, the team confirmed yesterday. Ryan spent last year as the running backs coach for Harvard and had previously been with Columbia. John DeFilippo, who was the team's offensive quality control coach, had been with the Giants since 2005. The team would not comment on his future, only to say that he left the organization for a "better opportunity."Read more
