Baltimore Ravens 02/19/2007 7:52 AMThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Clark Atlanta coach Ted Bahhur knows all about WR Jacoby Jones. NFL scouts know him, too. "The kid is the real deal," Bahhur said. "You are talking about an athletic receiver; he has some moves." Jones will be on display this week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Jones, from Lane College in Jackson, Tenn., is being billed as this season's WR Marques Colston. He's 6 feet 4, 208 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds. Colston, a seventh-round pick last season by the Saints from Hosftra, went on to make most all-rookie teams. Jones' presence on the NFL radar screen started to grow after he kept scorching Division I-A defensive backs at the Shrine Bowl all-star game.Read more

Tennessee Titans 02/17/2007 9:54 AMThe Nashville Tennessean reports with a new general manager on board, now the Titans are expected to crank up their efforts toward signing HC Jeff Fisher to a long-term deal. And with free agency starting March 2, it makes sense to get the matter resolved as soon as possible. Free agents would certainly like to see some stability in the organization, and a head coach with only one year left on his contract offers no guarantees. In December the Titans exercised the option on Fisher's contract, keeping him in place for 2007 at a salary of roughly $5.3 million, and negotiations are in progress. Despite multiple reports to the contrary, talks between Fisher and the Titans have been positive, and there are indications the two sides are getting closer to a deal that would lock Fisher up for several more years.Read more
