Two college prospects visit Steelers

The Post-Gazette reports the Steelers entertained two college prospects yesterday, the first day NFL rules permit players to visit teams before the April 28-29 draft. RB Antonio Pittman of Ohio State and DE Ikaika Alama-Francis of Hawaii spent time visiting the coaches and scouts at the Steelers' UPMC facility. Read more

The Dayton Daily News reports at 5-foot-9 180-pounds, former RedHawks WR Ryan Robinson is considered an undersized receiver by NFL standards, but this small receiver has big-play ability. He finished the season tied for third in the nation in receptions with 91 and was considered one of the games' most dangerous return-men. Robinson racked up 1,178 yards receiving and eight touchdowns for RedHawks this season. So why were teams overlooking him at the start of draft process? Read more

Green shows for offseason workouts

The Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs started their off-season conditioning program on Monday, and QB Trent Green was one of the participants. Edwards said last week Green would be excused. “That’s Trent,” Edwards said Monday. “That’s what you love about the guy. He’s a pro. He’s still with us. He’s still on the Chiefs roster.
