Former Raven Mulitalo signs with Lions

The Baltimore Sun reports the Detroit Lions signed free-agent OL Edwin Mulitalo to a three-year contract yesterday. He agreed to undisclosed terms with the Lions late last month. Mulitalo, 6 feet 3 and 350 pounds, was the Ravens' starting left guard for eight seasons. He has played in 106 regular-season games and seven postseason games, including the 35th Super Bowl. Cardinals re-sign Smith

The Arizona Republic reports the Arizona Cardinals have re-signed DE Antonio Smith to a one-year contract. Smith appeared in all 16 games last season, starting eight of them at defensive end collecting 29 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one pass defensed. The Cardinals' fifth-round selection (135th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State, Smith has appeared in 29 games (16 starts) with 43 tackles, 51/2 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble during his career. Ex-Colts safety Doss signs with Vikings

NFL.com wire reports S Mike Doss, who spent the past four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, has signed with the Minnesota Vikings. During his time in Indianapolis, Doss started 42 of the 46 regular season games he has played in. Doss played in six games last season before he was sidelined by a torn knee ligament. While in Indianapolis, he played under current Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Read more

Redskins won't part with McIntosh

The Washington Post reports the Washington Redskins' refusal to part with LB Rocky McIntosh may have stalled the team's proposed trade with Chicago for LB Lance Briggs, but at the same time sent the strongest signal yet that the 24-year-old linebacker may be an important part of the team's long-term plan after all. The Redskins offered their sixth overall pick in the April 28-29 draft for Briggs and Chicago's 31st pick; the Bears countered by asking that McIntosh be part of the deal. Read more
