Dolphins: Culpepper OK after accident

The Palm Beach Post reports Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said this afternoon that QB Daunte Culpepper assured the team that he "is fine" after a car accident Wednesday night in Coral Springs. Culpepper was involved in a two-vehicle accident on the Sawgrass Expressway at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed this afternoon. Culpepper was driving west and made contact with a Chevrolet Avalanche near Mile Marker No. 18, police said. Culpepper told paramedics he hurt his left hand. Culpepper, who throws with his right hand, later had X-rays as a precaution. Read more

The Sacramento Bee reports one man's back injury is another man's opportunity. That's the case for rookie OT Joe Staley, who is getting the lion's share of the work at right tackle this spring after OT Kwame Harris was sidelined because of back spasms last week. “It's been great so far -- I get to go against Bryant Young, who's one of the best defensive ends out there,” Staley said Tuesday. “I'm kind of getting into that (mind-set) where I've got to bring my 'A' game every day.
