Bears add Goldsberry as third FB
Chicago Bears06/27/2007 9:24 AM The Chicago Sun-Times reports the Bears took even less time to fill Tank Johnson's roster spot than it took Johnson to get into trouble with the law again. They claimed FB Jon Goldsberry off waivers Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, giving them three fullbacks for training camp next month. The 6-1, 246-pound Goldsberry was released by the Bucs after they re-signed Mike Alstott and brought in B.J. Askew. He adds depth behind starter Jason McKie and Obafemi Ayanbadejo, who was signed earlier this month. Read more
Jackson, Falcons 'resolve' lawsuit
Atlanta Falcons06/27/2007 9:19 AM The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons DT Grady Jackson's lawsuit against the team has been "resolved," according to his attorney Eric Farber of San Francisco. "Grady is very happy with it," said Farber on Tuesday. "Now he can focus on football." A Falcons spokesperson acknowledged that the case was resolved and added that the team did not want to comment. Jackson didn't participate in workouts on the field during Falcons minicamps, but is expected to report for training camp in late July. Read more

New Orleans Saints06/27/2007 8:45 AM The Times-Picayune reports six down, one to go. The Saints are far ahead of the NFL curve this summer when it comes to signing their draft picks. Roughly 50 drafted rookies have been signed throughout the league, and the Saints account for nearly one-eighth of that total. They have signed more draft picks than any other team, and they are the only team with just one player left to be signed -- first-round selection WR Robert Meachem. Read more
