Bengals working to sign rookie DT Toeaina

The Dayton Daily News reports Cincinnati Bengals sixth-round draft pick DT Matt Toeaina said Tuesday he's ready to contribute to the team in any way possible. Now all the Bengals have to do is sign the 300-plus-pound run-stuffing defensive tackle. The Bengals have contacted Toeaina's agent, Angelo Wright, and a deal could be completed before the July 27 opening of training camp. Read more

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the Falcons signed drafts picks Laurent Robinson, Martrez Milner and Doug Datish Wednesday, bringing the number of draft picks signed to six. Atlanta still has five more players to sign, including first-round pick Jamaal Anderson and second-rounders Justin Blalock and Chris Houston. Robinson, a wide receiver (3rd round), Milner, a tight end (4th round) and Datish (6th round) signed four-year contracts. Read more

ESPN’s Len Pasquarelli reports the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have the earliest report date in the league, took a major step on Wednesday evening toward having all of their draft picks in training camp on time, reaching a contract agreement with second-round LB LaMarr Woodley. A former University of Michigan star, and the 46th player taken overall, Woodley will sign a four-year contract, the financial details of which were not immediately available. Read more
