New York Giants 07/19/2007 12:22 PMThe Star-Ledger reports the Giants agreed to terms with TE Kevin Boss, the team's fifth-round pick, on a four-year contract, according to someone familiar with the details of the deal. The person requested anonymity because the contract won't be made official until today. Boss, a Western Oregon graduate, impressed the coaches during minicamp and might begin the season as the No. 2 tight end behind Jeremy Shockey. The Giants announced the signing of Nebraska OL Chris Patrick yesterday. To make room on the roster for Patrick, the team waived OL Matt Maddox, a native of Manasquan.Read more
Miami Dolphins 07/19/2007 12:20 PMThe Sun Sentinel reports although C Samson Satele agreed to terms on a contract Wednesday, the Dolphins still have work to do. In March, team owner H. Wayne Huizenga said he wanted to set a tone by having all rookies signed by training camp. With rookies scheduled to report to training camp Sunday, three of the 10 draftees remain unsigned. New Orleans Saints 07/19/2007 10:45 AMNFL.com wire reports Saints DT Brian Young fractured a foot while doing some offseason training on his own in Florida and will likely miss the opening practices of training camp. GM Mickey Loomis said Young, 30, had surgery on the foot last week but could not say when the lineman would be able to return to practice. Loomis did not specify which foot was involved.Read more
