Cardinals reach deal with rookie LB Davis

NFL.com wire reports the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with LB Buster Davis, the team's third-round draft pick. Davis led Florida State with 109 tackles last year, 57 solo, and had five sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Davis led Florida State in tackles for three consecutive seasons, starting his final 37 college games. Read more

Chambers plans to plead not guilty

The Palm Beach Post reports the attorney for Dolphins WR Chris Chambers said his client will plead not guilty next month to drunken driving Saturday in North Carolina. Charlotte attorney Charles Laughrun, who often defends drunken-driving charges, said he is seeking video footage of the arrest by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police said Chambers' blood-alcohol level - in a test taken at the county jail - was 0.06, below the legal limit of 0.08. The test was performed 90 minutes after the traffic stop. Chambers, who owns a home in North Carolina, declined to submit to a breath test at the scene. Read more

Teammate Horn says Vick is 'saddened' by events

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Falcons WR Joe Horn said he has spoken to Vick since in the indictment came down Tuesday and that Vick is remorseful and concerned. "Mike is saddened about the tension this is going to cause the team," Horn told the Journal-Constitution on Thursday night. "I assured him I support him, the rest of the guys support him and the team supports him. Whether he's guilty or innocent or whether you believe he is, time will tell. "No one, I don't care if you're wealthy or poor, no one is immune to the trials and tribulations of life. Everyone who's breathing is going to have to deal with issues in their life. Unfortunately, Mike is up at bat right now." Horn said he understands NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's right to suspend Vick and the team's option to keep Vick away from team activities, but he doesn't think that would be right or in the best interest of anyone involved.
