OT Kenyatta Walker, who had a long-running feud with Carolina DE Julius Peppers, could be joining the team. Walker, a free agent, will visit with the Panthers today or Wednesday, a league source said. Walker spent the past six seasons with Tampa Bay, and his matchups against Peppers turned into a verbal and physical feud. Atlanta Falcons 07/24/2007 8:49 AMThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports in another off-the-field incident involving the Falcons, second-year S Jimmy Williams received a summons for misdemeanor marijuana possession June 6 in Goochland County, Va. The case has been continued until January, 2008, according to the Falcons. But Polian told the left offensive tackle the situation needs to be resolved before the team reports to training camp in Terre Haute this weekend. Cleveland Browns 07/24/2007 8:35 AMAP reports Browns C LeCharles Bentley was cleared by his surgeon to return to the playing field on Monday, another major step in his unexpected comeback from a career-threatening knee injury. "I passed it," Bentley said excitedly on the phone from New York. "I'm good to go." Bentley had a physical with Dr. Russell Warren, the New York Giants' team physician who performed two operations on the two-time Pro Bowler, whose injury was complicated by a staph infection. Bentley's first season with the Browns ended on the first play of contact in training camp last summer when he tore the patellar tendon in his left knee.Read more
