The Dayton Daily News reports outside LB Antwan Peek is giving right OT Ryan Tucker and others all they can handle as a pass rusher. "I've played against a lot of guys, and he's got it all, baby," Tucker said. "He's a good one. I'm looking forward to seeing him on third down (against other teams)." Peek, signed as a free agent in the offseason, spent four years with the Houston Texans. The Dayton Daily News reports Cincinnati Bengals CB Keiwan Ratliff has a reputation for being Mr. August. He shines in the preseason only to disappear when the real games begin. Is this the year he becomes Mr. September? "I want to play in the league for a long time," Ratliff said. "So I've got to prove to the coaches that I can be a player they can count on for years to come." Ratliff weighed nearly 200 pounds when he arrived as a second-round draft pick in 2004. Now he's a svelte 186 — quicker, faster and stronger. With Johnathan Joseph rehabbing a broken bone in his left foot, Ratliff is the temporary starter at right cornerback. Read more

Seattle's Babineaux, Womack suffer injuries

NFL.com wire reports Seattle Seahawks S Jordan Babineaux will miss the next three to four weeks of training camp after injuring his right knee on the first day of practice. Babineaux got tangled with wide receiver Ben Obomanu while leaping for a pass in the morning practice July 29 and then banged his right knee while skidding across the wet grass. Read more
