Ferguson agrees to terms with Vikings

AP reports veteran WR Robert Ferguson agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday. Ferguson, who was cut by NFC North rival Green Bay on Friday, also visited his hometown Houston Texans before deciding to join the Vikings' inexperienced receiver corps. Read more

ESPN’s Len Pasquarelli reports four-time Pro Bowl middle LB Jeremiah Trotter will be job hunting in the coming days after being released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday. A nine-year veteran, Trotter was informed of his status in a meeting with HC Andy Reid. The Eagles suggested that the now-unrestricted free agent consider retirement, but the 30-year-old's preference is to continue playing in the league. Read more

Broncos trade DT Gerard Warren to rival Raiders

AP reports the Denver Broncos found a surprising trade partner to unload DT tackle Gerard Warren -- the rival Oakland Raiders. The Broncos shipped Warren to the Raiders on Monday for an undisclosed 2008 draft pick. Just one year ago, Warren was deemed the Broncos' best defensive linemen as evidenced by the six-year, $36 million contract he signed before injuries to both big toes led to an unproductive 2006 season.
