The 12-year veteran remains locked in a close battle with C Steve McKinney for the starting job with the Texans. Flanagan, who joined the team from the Green Bay Packers last season, started the first nine games in 2006 before injuries sidelined him. If McKinney wins the job, Flanagan will enter a season as a reserve for the first time since 2000.Read more
