Taylor trying to ready for practice

AP reports Minnesota Vikings RB Chester Taylor was receiving treatment Monday for a painful injury on his side that sidelined him in the first quarter of the season opener Sunday. Taylor's condition was called a bruised hip after the 24-3 victory over Atlanta, but coach Brad Childress said Monday that the injury was to Taylor's oblique, a muscle near the lower part of the rib cage. AP reports HC Jon Gruden tried his best to put a positive spin on a sore subject for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- the health of RB Carnell "Cadillac" Williams. Bruised ribs forced the third-year pro to sit out part of the Bucs' season-opening loss to the Seattle Seahawks. They could sideline him again Sunday when New Orleans (0-1) visits Raymond James Stadium for Tampa Bay's home opener. Read more
