Greene eyed by Falcons and others

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports QB David Greene, recently released by Seattle, worked out for Dallas Friday and has scheduled workouts with New England and Tennessee, according to his agent Pat Dye Jr. "I have no doubt in my mind that he has the skills to play in this league," said Dye. "It's just a matter of getting the right opportunity." The former Georgia star was drafted by Seattle in the third round of the 2005 draft. Read more

The Pioneer Press reports it's going to take more than one big game by RB Adrian Peterson for the Vikings to shake up their running back rotation. HC Brad Childress made that clear Monday while reporting that starter Chester Taylor has a bruise on his oblique (external abdominal) muscle but no structural damage. Taylor's status for this week's game at Detroit is uncertain. Read more

Ogden's toe hurting again

The Baltimore Sun reports Ravens Pro Bowl left OT Jonathan Ogden left last night's game early in the second quarter, limping from the field because of the turf toe injury he suffered near the end of last season. There was no announcement by the Ravens on the severity of the injury last night, but it has to be of major concern for the team. Read more

Bell lost for season

The Palm Beach Post reports a Dolphins defense that sometimes looked tired and outmatched Sunday now must overcome the loss of one of its best playmakers, SS Yeremiah Bell. HC Cam Cameron confirmed Monday that Bell suffered a season-ending injury to his left Achilles' tendon in Sunday's 16-13 overtime defeat in Washington. Read more
