Indianapolis Colts
12/31/2007 9:50 AM
The Dayton Daily News reports the plethora of injuries to the Indianapolis Colts defensive line in recent weeks has allowed some of the team's young players such as rookie third-round pick DT Quinn Pitcock to step up and show their stuff. No question Pitcock has seized the opportunity and is proving to the organization that he can play at this level. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive tackle from Piquahas accounted for a number of tackles in the team's last two games. Uncertain of his fate, Cameron looks to '08

Miami Dolphins

The Palm Beach Post reports the end could be near for the Dolphins' Cam Cameron. If it arrives this week, his head-coaching résumé will reflect one of the least-successful debuts in NFL history. One win. One season. One chance. Sunday, the Dolphins lost 38-25 to Cincinnati. The defeat left them 1-15; only seven other teams have lost that many games in an NFL season. Parcells was joined at Sunday's game by former Packers GM Ron Wolf, an old friend and fellow Jupiter resident. Given the uncertainty surrounding the Dolphins and reports that Miami GM Randy Mueller is about to get fired, Wolf's visit created a buzz. Read more

Cincinnati Bengals
12/31/2007 9:40 AM
The Dayton Daily News reports Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh knew exactly what he needed. Nine catches to tie New England's WR Wes Welker for the NFL receptions title with 112. By dropping QB Carson Palmer's final pass on a flair pattern in the left flat with 2:27 to go in the Bengals' 38-25 victory on Sunday, Houshmandzadeh had to settle for the tie ... and club record. He finished the season with 112 receptions for 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns. Read more
