Baltimore Ravens 01/02/2008 3:45 PMAP reports Texas junior RB Jamaal Charles, who rushed for 1,619 yards this season, has decided to leave the Longhorns to enter the NFL draft. Charles joined Ricky Williams, Earl Campbell and Cedric Benson as the only Longhorns to rush for over 1,500 yards in a season. He had 161 yards and two touchdowns in Texas' Holiday Bowl win over ArizonaState. The Longhorns finished 10-3.Read more

Kansas City Chiefs 01/02/2008 10:11 AMThe Kansas City Star reports the first casualties of the Chiefsâ 4-12 season came Tuesday, when four assistant coaches, including offensive coordinator Mike Solari, were fired. The others fired were John Matsko (offensive line), Charlie Joiner (wide receivers) and James Saxon (running backs). Solari, Joiner and Saxon were remnants from the staff of former coach Dick Vermeil. Vermeilâs quarterback coach, Terry Shea, was fired last year.Read more
