Cleveland Browns 02/07/2008 8:09 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports Cleveland Browns CB Leigh Bodden was acquitted Wednesday on charges stemming from a confrontation with police at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. A jury cleared Bodden of counts of disorderly conduct and failure to display a driver's license. On Tuesday, the judge at his municipal court trial had dismissed a resisting arrest charge. Bodden was picking up his girlfriend and their two children at the airport Sept. 5 when police say he drove in reverse down a one-way street, became verbally abusive and began to resist officers trying to place handcuffs on him. Bodden has apologized to his coaches and teammates.Read more
Miami Dolphins 02/03/2008 3:45 PMThe Palm Beach Post reports the 2008 Miami Dolphins: Now with Tuna for no extra charge. For the first time in a decade, the Dolphins are freezing season-ticket prices. On the heels of a 1-15 season, the team announced Friday that fans can buy season tickets by May 9 for the same price as in 2007. "We want to show our appreciation for our most devoted fans," Dolphins spokesman George Torres said. Team officials expect to announce an increase in the price of season and individual-game tickets to take effect after May 9, but the Dolphins were not saying how much. The freeze until late spring signals the club won't ask most fans to pay in advance for presumed improvement under Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells.Parcells, nicknamed Tuna, has hired a new coach and general manager. Parcells was not directly involved in the pricing decision, which was a business call considered outside the scope of football operations.Read more
Tennessee Titans 02/02/2008 8:01 AMThe Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans met with representatives of Pacman Jones earlier this week to begin sorting out their plans for the suspended cornerback, but reached no resolution. The team's options â trade, release or keep Jones â remain alive if and when the NFL reinstates him. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he won't review the matter until after the Pro Bowl on Feb. 10.Read more
