Cincinnati Bengals 02/18/2008 7:39 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports there is no question that the Cincinnati Bengals will be looking to add some depth at the linebacker position during the NFL draft and could have the inside track to an incredible talent in Louisville LB Lamar Myles. Myles is a player who has received little attention from teams as of late. However, the Bengals are one team with the 411 and could have their sights set on the hidden gem. The 6-foot-0 220-pound junior linebacker declared himself eligible for the draft after receiving a fifth-round grade from the NFL advisory board and decided to jump ship. Myles thought the grade would be good enough to earn him an invite to the combine and under normal circumstances it would, but for whatever reason he was left off the list. Myles' entry into the draft caught some people by surprise including his trainer Clif Marshall, who operates Ignition Athletes Performance Group in Mason Ohio.Read more
Cleveland Browns 02/18/2008 7:38 AMThe Dayton Daily News reports there are a lot of uncertainties that surround the Cleveland Browns defense and the team is expected to shore up some of those in the draft. One area on defense the team will take a hard look at is the secondary. The Browns need to add some quality depth if they are to make a run at the playoffs. Boise State junior standout CB Orlando Scandrick fits the Browns cornerback mold perfectly. He is a little-known player coming out of nowhere with tons of talent reminiscent of CB Leigh Bodden. Scandrick is described as the truth when it comes to cover skills. He locks up receivers like a maximum security prison. Book 'em Danno! He is believed to possess blazing 4.3 speed in the 40-yard dash and is preparing to show that and more to NFL scouts at the Combine this week. The way I hear it, the virtual unknown is expected to set it off in Indy.Read more

Arizona Cardinals 02/15/2008 3:04 PMThe ArizonaRepublic reports the Cardinals surprised no one Thursday by announcing they were placing the franchise tag on inside LB Karlos Dansby. The move has been expected and comes a week before the NFL's deadline for naming franchise players. The "non-exclusive" franchise designation allows Dansby to receive offers from other teams. If the Cardinals choose not to match, they would receive two first-round draft picks as compensation. But no team is going to be willing to pay that high of a price.Read more
