Shell canned again
Oakland Raiders01/05/2007 8:19 AM The Contra Costa Times reports Raiders managing general partner Al Davis fired HC Art Shell on Thursday night, four days after the Raiders established a franchise record for most losses in a season with their 14 defeats in 16 games. Shell, 60, departs less than 11 months after he was hired to replace Norv Turner. It marks the second time Davis has fired Shell. The two parted ways after the 1994 season on the heels of Shell posting a 56-41 record in five-plus seasons. Read more
