Juniors Charles Johnson, Danny Ware to declare for NFL Draft
Baltimore Ravens01/02/2007 9:28 AM Georgiadogs.com reports University of Georgia junior DE Charles Johnson of Hawkinsville and junior RB Danny Ware of Rockmart will declare for the NFL draft passing up their final year of eligibility at UGA, according to an announcement Monday by Bulldog HC Mark Richt. "I met with each of them individually on Monday and we had a good discussion," said Richt. "They both felt that considering all the factors involved, the best decision was to enter the draft this year. Both indicated to me how much they appreciated the opportunity to play at Georgia and the experience they had while in Athens. Charles and Danny are within reach of graduation and I certainly indicated to them the hope they would finish their degrees. In the final analysis we always want what's best for each player and in these two cases, both were confident this was the right decision. Of course, we wish them the very best and appreciate their contributions to the Georgia program. They will always be part of our Bulldog family." Richt said he would probably talk to junior CB Paul Oliver later in the week regarding his decision-making process on whether to enter the draft early. Read more
