Fields put on IR
San Francisco 49ers12/22/2006 8:38 AM The Contra Costa Times reports in one of his last pass rush practice plays of the day, 49ers NT Ronald Fields ripped upward with his left arm and smacked into the elbow of an offensive lineman. He thought little of the throbbing in his arm at first and went ahead and finished Wednesday's practice. When he went into the locker room, he had his arm examined by trainer Jeff Ferguson, who discovered the fracture. Read more
