Browns can't afford to gamble on Smith

The Dayton Daily News reports when Ohio State QB Troy Smith visited New York recently to pick up his Heisman, he appeared on one of the NFL pregame shows and was given a Cleveland Browns helmet. Considering he's from Cleveland, the Browns will be under a certain amount of pressure to draft Smith. Should they? In the first round? Some are suggesting he could be a top-five overall pick, but opinion is divided. Paul Maguire, a former NFL television commentator who now works college games, has said he doesn't think Smith will make it as a quarterback, mainly due to his height; he's listed at 6-foot-1 but some think that's a mite generous.
