Kubiak unhappy with running backs
Houston Texans11/29/2006 1:43 PM The Houston Chronicle reports HC Gary Kubiak didn't even try to sugarcoat the problems his running game had against the New York Jets, when the Texans finished with a total of 25 rushing yards on 14 carries. RB Samkon Gado and RB Wali Lundy each averaged less than 1.5 yards per carry. "They did not play well, either one of them," Kubiak said. "And I told them that. Did they have enough carries? No, that's my fault. But they are both better than they played. We're not always going to block every one of them; they have to make somebody miss. I want to see both those kids come back and play better this week." Lundy said he looks forward to trying to redeem himself against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. "There are some cuts I wish I could take back," Lundy said. "I put it all on me." Read more
