'Old Chad' subdued about Browns rematch

The Dayton Daily News reports the new, improved WR Chad Johnson stood in front of the TV cameras in the Bengals locker room on Wednesday, whispering sweet nothings at the Cleveland Browns. Johnson could've easily trashed Browns FS Brian Russell, but the quieter, more subdued and low-key wide receiver chose not to. In the Bengals' 34-17 victory over Cleveland on Sept. 17, Russell applied a Jack Tatum-like hit on Johnson, sending his helmet flying, bloodying his chin and causing him to see stars. What will Johnson tell Russell when they meet again in Cleveland on Sunday? "I'm sorry," Johnson said. Why say that? "I just don't feel like getting hit like that no more," he said. Johnson is the NFL's hottest receiver, having established a league record for receiving yards (450) in back-to-back games. After eight frustrating weeks, it's like old times again. Read more
