Cards halt victory drought

The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals weren't flawless in their 17-10 victory Sunday over Detroit at University of Phoenix Stadium. They sputtered at times on offense. The defense gave up a 97-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. The Lions (2-8), hardly top-flight competition, played most of the game without star RB Kevin Jones, who suffered a sprained ankle in the first quarter. But it was a victory, one that snapped an eight-game losing streak and kept the Cardinals (2-8) from their worst start since 1953 when they went 1-10-1. Read more
