Leftwich misses practice
Jacksonville Jaguars11/17/2006 10:30 AM The Florida Times-Union reports Jaguars QB Byron Leftwich missed practice Thursday and likely won't attend any of this week's workouts in an attempt to rest his injured left ankle before making a decision on possible surgery. Leftwich traveled Monday to Birmingham, Ala., to receive a second opinion regarding the ankle from orthopedist James Andrews. Leftwich wouldn't comment on results from the visit, but Jaguars HC Jack Del Rio said Andrews advised the quarterback to rest the ankle for another week or two, at which point they will re-evaluate.
