Cost of keeping White going up
Tampa Bay Buccaneers11/15/2006 8:11 AM The Tampa Tribune reports Bucs DE Dewayne White becomes a free agent at the end of the season. Before that happens, Tampa Bay's second-round pick in the 2003 draft is putting a lot of plays on film as evidence to why the Bucs should make every attempt to re-sign him. White started in DE Simeon Rice's absence Monday night against the Panthers and had five tackles. He also had a fumble recovery, his third of the season and seventh of his career, which led to the Bucs' only touchdown. With speculation swirling about Rice's future with the team, White continues to make plays whenever he's given the opportunity. He could get more starting assignments if Rice's injured shoulder continues to bother him. Read more
