Hayes making 'Big Bank'
Arizona Cardinals11/11/2006 10:15 AM The Arizona Republic reports LB Gerald Hayes will make about $8 million in the first year of the contract extension he signed this week. He received a salary increase of about $3.8 million this year and will receive roughly that amount in a bonus to be paid this spring. He was making $721,600 this year before the extension. The five-year extension is worth about $21 million and includes salaries of $600,000 in 2007, $1.5 million in 2008, $3.4 million in 2009, $3.75 million in 2010 and $4.25 million in 2011. Read more
