Jaguars' Owens re-signs
Jacksonville Jaguars01/23/2009 7:57 AM The Florida Times-Union reports special-teams ace Montell Owens, who was due to be a restricted free agent next month, signed a four-year contract with the Jaguars Wednesday that ties him to the team until 2013. Owens received a signing bonus in the $1 million range. Owens would have been a restricted free agent this year, which meant the Jaguars would have the opportunity to have matched any offer he got, but he probably wouldn't have become an unrestricted free agent until 2012.
