Burress facing two felony charges

The Star-Ledger reports just four days ago, the biggest question surrounding Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was whether or not his strained hamstring would allow him to play last Sunday. How things had changed by Monday, when Burress spent seven hours in Manhattan as the focal point of police, criminal court, politicians, media and the craning necks of swarms of onlookers. From 8:03 a.m. to 3:19 p.m. Monday, Burress turned himself into police, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a gun, posted $100,000 in bail and slipped out the back entrance of New York Criminal Court with his wife, Tiffany, beside him.
